The Southwest Saddlery "Bareback Treeless
Saddles" with V-Girths, in suede, are affordably priced starting at $270.
We have discounted some suede models with suede thinning.
[Previous Black Suede belly girth models: $200.]
Our Leather models have a plusher feel and
prettier soft cow leather starting at $245. For more experienced
riders who can handle a little slippage, you will settle rght into the softer leather saddles for the most pleasure & comfort. Properly educated leg grip & ride form required.
For assisted leg grip contact we offer the suede
models. Our saddles are flexible and acquire the basic shape and slopes of your horses back. V-Girths offer the most flexibility in girth tensioning
and is easily adjusted by sliding the girth ring across the v-loop - Girth and Assembly. Even positioning from side to side over the back required - FAQs.
These saddles are made for people with a true grip on life and come with absolutely no instruction manual or remote control to gain the best response from your horse. Other unrealistic expectations include suede moccasin beauty or a trendy jetsetters outlook for finding a break from their couch. As a rider, one should be prepared for the extra freedom of motion this saddle provides your horse. We do our best to pre-screen your expected fit with the horse to reduce your shipping and return risk
prior to purchase.
Our only rider mishaps reported initally are coming out of the gate (or fitting thru one) without considering the extra freedom in their horses outlook (and stirrup clearance in tight spaces). On the lighter side, taking the strain off an
old timers sore back could be mutually rewarding. More advanced riders might
find the feeling of flying like a bird on a freer moving friend to be
very rewarding.
Potential results are pictured in the prototype at right. *Our
V-Girth Saddles differ slightly with a more resilient natural latex foam in the
seat pad for softer inner thigh protection - the prototype model is
not latex and has less memory built into the foam. Patience in
breaking in this saddle is required, but kinder than breaking in a
horses back.
